Anthony Austin is a Human Resource executive known for “best in class” organization building, change management, innovative leadership, organization alignment and dramatically upgrading talent at every level of the organization. He has extensive experience in transforming the HR value proposition by driving trust, innovation and business process improvements linked to business strategies to aid in the achievement of enterprise objectives.

Anthony has been the senior officer of Human Resources at major national and international corporations, including as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc.; Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Tenet Healthcare; Vice President of Human Resources, Delta Airlines’ Customer Service Division and its Marketing and International Division; Vice President of Human Resources for Burger King Corporation; and Director of Human Resources for Taco Bell and Kentucky Fried Chicken, both divisions of PepsiCo, Inc.; and most recently, senior Human Resources officer at Portillo’s Hot Dog, LLC.

In these roles, he was a member of executive leadership teams and responsible for the development, management and execution of all aspects of human resources. Among multiple innovations, he has executed new procedures and systems so that companies were better able to attract, motivate and retain executive talent.  He is also skilled at risk management and crisis management.

Anthony holds an undergraduate degree in business management and an M.S. in labor relations from the University of Oregon. He is currently the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for One Hope United, a Chicago Based $50MM not-for-profit that provides services in early childhood learning, adoption and foster care and counseling services in underserved communities in Illinois, Wisconsin and Florida.
